In our last post we forgot to mention that Madeline had her two month doc appointment on September 30. At that appointment she weighed 13 pounds, 10 ounces (96%) and was 23.25 inches long (79%). The doctor said she looked good. She was very active during the appointment and was kicking her legs and flinging her arms the whole time, which he noted.
Unfortunately, all of us got shots at that appointment. Andre’ and Jennifer got the flu shot since she is not able to this year. Madeline got her next round of shots…two needles and one in the nose. She felt so horrible that night. Her legs were swollen and red, she had a slight fever, and was so fussy. We felt really sad for her. But she gave us a treat after taking a nap. She seemed to be in a good mood for a few minutes and giggled and smiled at us a bunch while we played with her.
Madeline went to her first event at the church last Sunday. This one is called Ark in the Park and she will absolutely love it in a few years. They have games, cotton candy, balloon animals, magicians, and of course animals! The balloon artist made a pink puppy for her. Then while we ate dinner she fell asleep on our dear friend Carol Beckman.
Then on Saturday, she went to a birthday dinner for Auntie Champ at a Japanese restaurant in Vinings. She is always so good when we’re out eating. She wants to be part of the action, but otherwise she is very patient.
