Week Forty ~ 9 Months Old
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009It’s officialÂ…Madeline is now a crawler. Over the past few weeks we have watched her go from moving one knee then falling over to moving a few more before falling. She then learned to stop for a second and regain balance before progressing across the room. Now she has it all figured out. If a gate or door is open, she will try to escape. She also enjoys the freedom to visit with the puppies and chase the kitty around the floor.
Our very determined daughter is not satisfied with this. She has moved on to being able to sit up from a crawling position and has started to make attempts to pull up. In light of this, we had to lower the crib for her safety.
She also had her 9 month doctor’s appointment. She weighed 21 pounds 3 ounces (86%), was 28 inches long (66%) and has a 17.75 inch head (80%). We’re happy to report that the doctor said she looks great and is healthy. We go back at one year old (so hard to believe that is just around the corner).
