Week Thirty-One ~ 7 Months Old
We’re more than halfway through Madeline’s first year. She is certainly growing up. Her menu now consists of rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, squash, apples, bananas, peaches and Baby Mum Mums. We also let her chew on slices of French bread. She will try pears next week. She seems to enjoy eating solid foods and being able to snack when mommy and daddy are eating.
There are two things that really make her smile – our pets and puppets. One night Jennifer and Andre’ were eating dinner at the table and Madeline was in the living room in her Munchie Cart (aka walker). Andre’ turned the TV to Sprout and there were some puppets on. Her head whipped around, she saw the puppets, and scurried across the living room to watch them. Once they were finished, she turned and came back towards the dining room. She has learned how to quickly cross the room using a kick that resembles a frog hop. You really have to watch at for her. She will chase you and she has started herding the animals.
We have two videos to put up for this week, but the website we upload the videos on is down today. So, we’ll have to post them later. Check back again later to watch Madeline drink from a cup and play with her bug toy. By that time, we’ll also upload video of it snowing here and a special part of Madeline’s bedtime routine.
